PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

Traveling abroad? It's important you know your passport, visa, and health requirements, which may vary by destination. Make sure you get all the information you need well in advance of your trip.

On January 23, 2007, ALL passengers, including Canadian citizens, traveling by AIR between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid U.S. passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document.
Starting June 1, 2009, a U.S. law will require Canadians to present a valid passport to enter the United States by water or land. U.S. law already requires Canadians to present a valid passport to enter the U.S. by air. Apply for your passport today to ensure you have it when you need it. Remember, the passport is the recommended travel and identification document for all Canadian travellers.
